Is any office staff been laid off? There seems to be more of them than shop floor workers .

Overtime had always been there for the favoured ones irrespective of workload, it’s all wrong and NOV need to get a grip of someone
Work load only at 80% for August, hence being forced to book off every Monday in August! Hang on! People are in on overtime on Saturday, yes Sayurday the 1st of August. Hahaha. You could not make this up!
Brace yourself is right, these corporate guys don't care about the people although they say people are the most important asset, they talk rubbish, Greengate is a target for more cuts, fact, no one is safe even the people doing the cuts right now, they wont be far behind you all but really should have been first.
We have no leaders, people who will speak up for the right things, just people who ask 'how high should i jump'. Derby closed due to bad management, look whos in control of the business now and go figure.
This is a great one I heard today ! Newest mazak and weingartner in the oilfield are getting lined up to be relocated overseas. Why that ???
Ive heard to day they want more people to go .DIDNT SAY HOW MANY .
He’s on his way shortly for the next round of redundancy’s Or will it be closure ......Brace yourself greengate !!!
That’s only a drop in the ocean compared to when took BOSAL down with £60 million in red,
£1.5 million job has been made wrong and sc-apped, who is responsible for employing these people, Manchester is doomed!!!!!!!
Commercial office staff are being targeted , whilst no one would confirm this, the recent departures are probably as a result of a nice pay out to some people, like they offer in Houston but allegedly cant in the UK because of tax reasons, that's just rubbish.
They should look closer at the people who are costing the money and adding the least value, start with the VP's and come down a level where travel costs must be at least as much as having two guys in the factory, even the Chemineer people who are rumoured to be earning at least 25% more than the Mono guys, fixing that will help, these short term measures being done right now are just aimed at getting people out of the business who are not in favour but in most cases add the most value and are the reason the Mono business has grown over many years, MONO, yes, the M and not the N word, will miss these people and suffer as a result
They could have 20 people on shop floor . And still the office staff would stay .BILKO has not got a clue who is running what because he is never on the shop floor .LOOK at chemineer stand about all day on there phones then get sat and sunday .Well done big scouse .
Most of the dead wood is in middle management never seen so many managers for so few workers. If they got rid of 4-5 of them they could have saved good lads there jobs £35-40k a year for doing not much!! Good work if you can get it or you know Bilko
They have let good people go. And the dead wood are still here . Great choice by our leaders .those who have bleed the company dry for the last couple off years . Are still here and some back on sick grow some balls . And get rid
What c-ap you speak you goon!!!... Short time my backside!!.. As if!!!!
We are all going on short time . All rubber going on short time as well . No work due till april . Big boss on his way to sort it all out . Start looking for a new job .
A short notice shift change means shorter working hours by the end of the month and more redundancy soon
Engel.....can you explain why it was deemed the purchasing manager was disposed of 3 years ago ..the job does not exist.........now we have a part time manager with a large staff..most of whom.are poor?....
That's another 6 hrs do my 6 double time tomorrow and that's xmas pay sorted.
I still don't see the issue we are really busy maybe its due to the lay offs.
Look on the bright side at least i have overtime this weekend.
Wait til they stop sick pay and guess what..nobodys off taking the piss anymore?
Doing random d–g test now, to get rid of people, what a sad state this company is in.
Ha ha boogie
But don't blame it on the boggie
Blame it on sunshine
Its due to Brexit now ffs
Things will pick up next year
Big news is, management are going to stop all c-gare–e breaks.
People don't leave bad jobs... they leave because of bad management, who don't appreciate their value.
So true of this management.
God help us all.
Quote “Apparently the agency guys are on more money, our union are c-ap allowing this to go on. Come on union get that finger out”.
Union can’t do anything about agency wages, don’t forget they don’t get paid when the factory is shut like at Christmas or get sick pay they can abuse, Glad I left years ago
Apparently the agency guys are on more money, our union are c-ap allowing this to go on. Come on union get that finger out.
How has marvolous mike allowed to stay when our gary has gone. Its a joke he just stands there on his phone all the time . Fish fryer must love him . So p-ss-d off all the sh–e agency lads are staying . And the good lads have gone
Its not a case of works or office layoffs, NOV need to take a closer look at the top of the organisation. They have far too many 'yes' men from president to VP to the many directors who work for the VP's. They don't want to hear how things are, just what they want to hear and anyone with a different view is pushed out or leave for better things, they really are destroying the business and who ever thought pumps and mixing went together has no understanding of industrial business. The senior leadership team are a joke, made up of career jockys looking for their next role, they will be long gone before its realised what a mess the business is in.
It’s like that at every facility! This is why NOV is in the state it’s in
If you walk round with a piece of paper you'll be safe!...
