Everyone knows Lowes is falling, and fast. Employee morale is at 0, and service to customers is invisible. Customers see it, employees see it. Even Store level management knows and will admit it to a degree. But corporate simply refuses, and instead of stopping the train wreck, they are happy to keep evading all the facts that we as a company in every regard are failing.
In my branch, we had MASS resignations. We have an empty store, and even when it was "properly staffed" we were so thin that it was literally absurd. So imagine now. We have 4 FT specialist positions open, and have been open for months without ONE person applying.
Our store manager begged us to "ask friends", because "no one came to the hiring event, and no one is applying."
I saw my GF at her store yesterday and she too said her branch has the exact same problem. "
When no one even wants to work at Lowe's, theres a serious problem. Even corp guys are quitting, but you never hear about that.
So imagine how those who DO work at Lowe's feel if no one else would even work there! Its terrible. My own Mother was so fed up she went to Home Depot and loves her flooring, install, cost, and overall satisfaction with the entire process. She went to Lowe's 1st. THREE TIMES!
Lowe's leaders are failures. They focus on minutia, and not what really matters. Then, they push it hard, and with threats and force. Never questioning their premises. Well, their premises are all wrong.
They claim they are "pushing Pro". This too is a bold faced lie. Ive been inmany stores, talked to many people at every level. In my store, we have no staff. One specialist, no flooring, no loader. No one is ABLE to work Pro because we are tasked all over the place. Same in other stores. I was in a store last night, and the Pro Spec and CSA were pulling pallets of concrete because there was NO lumber staff. Its a reoccurring theme in every store.
Everything Marvin is saying, are lies. Employees know it, customers know it, and even store management knows it.
We are "pushing" anything. We are going the wrong way.
