Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

TGIF6

Well it’s Friday again folks and not looking great for Rig. Heard layoffs could happen today but hopefully not. If y’all see extra security then we might be out of luck but if it’s just malllcopp then don’t worry he’s just making his gossip runs. Sure could use that chant tho. Anyhoo good luck to everyone.

I heard the next Rig Lay-off is the 17th. Pretty sure Mallcop will be riding around that day. It is crazy and wild that the company I have worked for over 20 years has come down to these bunch of id–ts running it. ExCeo, PM, is sitting at his new job laughing at us and taking our orders. There is a reason why the Rig Mgmt Team was not assembled like it is now when PM was CEO. When Elf became Chief he these id–ts in charge. PM had good leaders who understood all markets and had personality to speak to people, customers and employees. When is the last time you saw our Rig Pres come to your floor and say good job or thank you......Never!!! He is a joke and his team are a bunch of jokes that follow his orders and are scared to challenge him. There are times I wish I will be picked on the 17th so i can get off this sinking ship.

I have been with the company for over 10 years and still do not know what that guy does besides travel, post irrelevant things on social media, promote his kids projects and pose for pics. As far as the Voice is concerned nobody really cares about his podcasts, its a waste of money but the head of marketing loves him and that is the only reason he is there. He should do a podcast on how the company promotes nepotism and how it has affected the company. Then I would listen hahaha.
How in the world does so many of these uneducated, inexperienced and ignorant folks get high positions in a company? Easy answer....buddies. Doesn't matter if their background is security, mall-copping or complete dudds and their puppets in the HR department. Its just amazing how they don't realize its affecting the company. Open your eyes folks.....it obvious.
Happy Thanksgiving!

If only our great CMO would stop show boating around, this would save at least 10 employees. He is spending $$$$$ on his world tour. Who needs a pod cast and a Mr. Voice if there are no Salesmen selling equipment. This is Back A– backwards. The front liners are being cut so all of his little marketing people can stay on board doing what?? Podcast, and NOV live. They need to the have the next NOV live this Friday when another round of layoffs happen at the big tower.
It would be like this...”NOV live is at the tower today on this gorgeous Friday morning talking people as they exit the building after a wonderful day of lay-offs” “Sir how do you feel about our CMO and his Big Expense Spending? It’s great for business, love it!!”
Yea right
