Xerox impika plant to announce closure tomorrow morning. All manufacturing moving to Xerox Dundalk plant in Ireland
If Impika in France is closing, where is all the development and manufacturing going?
No surprise that Xerox leadership is going after European employees, now. They wanted to gut several operations across the continent on Day 1 way back in July of 2018; but, labor laws, Work Councils, etc. make layoffs legally challenging, time consuming and very costly throughout the EU (its a bit 'easier' in the UK).
Shutting down Impika (France) os of Dec 20
With GDG, any wagers on which way it will go?
- Lay-off
- Delayed lay-off via HCL or other re-badging
- Cary NC model (your job is moving, you aren’t)
- The subsidiary gag is finally revealed -the whole basis for becoming a holding co- “you are offered a job at xyz subsidiary-if you don’t take it you are considered to have voluntarily resigned. Oh big pay cut too”
No longer employed by the X, but witnessed many holiday layoffs. Good luck to all !
Another 50 mil for year- end restructuring.
Rule of thumb $100k per employee ..
approx 500 more in soon to be layoffs.
Like clock work notices given during the holidays..
Already working with a skeleton crew! Hard for R&D to produce products to make revenue when you cut off its legs. Oh that’s right, out source to other countries.
Just following in the footsteps of Kodak. Very sad.
Betting it's a big big number
I have also heard this from reliable sources, but haven't heard if it's 10 people or 1000.
