Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

People Asking For Details

On what department, location, etc, etc.

Why do you want to know? Do you realize this site is monitored and asking for these details may cause people even further problems with the company?

The layoffs are confirmed, so it's not like people are making this up. If you think you can predict what may or may not happen to you by finding out what's happening to others, I have some advice for you.

This axe will continue to fall, whether it hits you now or later, you should know that your job is anything but secure with this company. That's all you need to know. So stop asking people for details which could identify them to company trolls on this site.

@11LPM84h-2rvm If a person was just terminated they should pull the job requisition. They can't do a RIF and then rehire for the same post.

I have to say that you're wrong. It would be to prevent someone from applying to that department, because LORD KNOWS the job just terminated is posted.

With 50,000 employees and many different departments I think people do want to know what department to see if their areas maybe affected. Of course that’s 50,000-2% now

Either HR or Marketing trying to do damaging control. They can't help revealing themselves...the way they speak, rather the way they have been grown to speak is like a robot with a disease called "thoughtless."

Nope, shame on you. If we are really being honest, all of us check this site as gawkers. We want confirmation that this is happening to others while hoping it doesn’t happen to us. This site gives a heads up on lay-off rumblings through rumour and gossip. Asking for departments/teams is just a way for that Asker to feel better about them self. That’s the truth whether you want to admit it or not. Yeah, I want to to know the rumblings but the details dont matter.

Really? Correct me if I’m wrong but nobody is asking for names, date of birth or anything of the like. Most departments are large enough that to simply state the role/area/line of business, etc would not put anyone at risk. OP if you are so disinterested in details because “layoffs have been confirmed” and “that’s all we need to know” I have to ask, what brings you to this site? People visit this site because they are genuinely concerned, worried etc and it is nothing less than human to be inquisitive given the current circumstances. So do you visit this site to lecture and scold those asking for details? Shame on you!
