Has anyone ever thought that Walmart wants Sams to fail??

Of course it's failure by design. If you can't see it, you are blind.
They aren't working hard to lose their jobs. They're just stupid.
Like Sears big boys were. First, in our town at any rate, I knew something was wrong when they wouldn't let their employees pull and hold clothes for the farmers. That was a practice that had been in place since our store's opening. So farmers stopped coming. Now that might not seem like a big to do in a big city, but in rural areas, it was huge. And lots of Sears were located in rural areas. Not all of the country is alike.
When the internet came along, Sears of all places, couldn't get on board. Like they couldn't make the conceptual leap from paper catalogue to online catalogue. And when they finally did go online, you couldn't find an item, even if you had the bar code, item number, or typed in the identical name!
But what really told me the store was doomed was when it rained. Yep, rain. Our Sears was located in what is now called a strip mall. Shaped like a half of rectangle. At one end is a Pennys, and at the other end is Sears. Lots of other stores in the middle. Anyway, when it rained they would lock the entrance which led to the rest of the stores. So people would have to enter/exit a door farther away, and walk, in the rain, to the other stores. Made no sense. We're not a big city, we barely have homeless people. Mostly we have cows. There was no reason to lock the door. People didn't go to Sears when it rained. It was a hassle.
Now Sam's Club is making ridiculous decisions. People come here because they perceive us as being special. A store with superior service. Service worth paying for.
But home office doesn't see it.
They are eliminating the services, one at a time. People on the floor-to busy to bother. Service desk-gone. Someone to take your groceries to the car - significantly downsized. You can't even walk into this store and order anything off the wire.
I can't see this place lasting another 10 years. It's not special, not worth paying a hundred dollars for. Not anymore.
I definitely think so! Crosses my mind daily
I don’t think that. I think they are just plain stupid.
If they are, it's working!!!
Yes the thought has crossed my mind. Why all the crazy decisions over and over and over.
