"Indians H1B they are victims too,"

Let me make something very clear. Anyone working in the United States from wherever that gets laid off is not a 'victim'. Furthermore, no US citizen that is laid off is a victim either. You've not been victimized! It's called being affected!

Indians H1B they are victims too, they are choiceless therefore are abused beyond belief. Home office, they are worked around the clock, they use them. Then again Americans are shown the door. Staples has very little future. Either stay and ride it til the end (which is nearrrr) or find something and GO. There is no growth and no future! All the respectable people are long gone, barely any decent leader left. You find something, I suggest you GO, don’t look back!

Darn right it’s IND first. Look at SDS diversity problem. 99% of SDS one race IND. HR preaching diversity and inclusion - what a joke

It is a shame, a great company is being destroyed by utter lack of leadership. The phrase I use is "The Emperior has new clothes", SDS and Staples is being fleeced by TCS for millions while dedicated associates are laid off and forced out. It's an India first policy. Nothing good coming.

I cannot believe how many rounds of layoffs there have been and now this? Who is running the place? It's not lean, it's anorexic. (sorry to those affected by anorexia for insensitivity)

You're lucky to even be receiving a layoff package. As a grade 34 I get nothing. They walk in one morning and tell me that I'm done. If you don't like who you are working for or the conditions then you are free to leave. Pack up your S&$t and leave.

Here is the reality - "Leave Us Package" is offered. 3 months pay. What a joke! Many long term employees are being given this option. If the option is not taken, come December, you will be shown the door without ANY severance. This is how these Private Equity firms work. Gut as much as you can to try to make it look attractive for an IPO. Problem is, NO one will want to buy this garbage company. TO much in dept, loosing money and NO real future for its model.
Either way, you are Scr$wed!

Sandy, you did say you read these posts. Yes I would like to leave Staples but this offer s—s. Just present it as voluntary lay-off with 10 weeks sev plus eligible to collect unemployment. Try that, I will be the first to take it. No hate on Staples overall, but management, they make it impossible to be your best, to do your best. It’s very sad. I’m ready to go, please modify the package, it’s not good enough Sandy! By the way, no hate on you either Sandy, you seem alright but you are in a difficult position. Good luck!

the severance packages have been steadily declining for more than a year it doesn't make any sense to wait if you can line up other employment take it and flee, 1 thing you can be sure of they will not be increasing it.
