AT&T Outsourced it’s Tech Dev departmental and the Employee’s have a 1 year contract. I am wondering if IBM will extend our contract. AT&T paid their employees good money and I know INM will probably cut our salary. Was wondering if we will let go after our year contract is up?

To I have had it way below — get your spelling right for interviews, it's "expertise" LOL
It really depends on where you work in IBM. I have worked at places where I felt like a number, but the past few years I do feel valued as an employee. Sadly the middle managers have a huge influence on this, and corporate culture doesn't encourage a positive and human centric management style top down.
not so much, as an example last friday all employees were asked not to come into office, due to road works and such, expected traffic jams. Then I found that that day our king visited our office. So understandably there are security reasons and such but to me it says it all how proud ibm is on her people.
I am 100% invisible at IBM, I will be obtaining some certs on their dollar and moving on.
Checkpoint is essentially a farce... Personally, I am happy to hear from my manager only a few times a year when he calls me to give me my bonus and my raise... the year I don't hear from him anymore I will know that it is time to move on. To be frank, most of these managers are useless anymore... May be we can save some money if we get rid of them, and get more bonus...
Most managers have no clue what their employee's are even working on. My manager has not said word one to me in over 6 months, yet we are going to have a checkpoint together?? cmom IBM
It's just a paycheck and not a career by any stretch. Pity to the simpletons who think otherwise.
It really just depends where you work within IBM and whether they really need you or not, but for sure if you don’t feel appreciated then you should be looking elsewhere.
I have had it. I am leaving for some other company that appreciate my expertice.
Pretty much zero...
