Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Terminated for fabricated reasons

I was a great worker. Got commended, got told I was doing a fantastic job. Never given any indication that I would be terminated. Smiled in my face asked how my family was doing what we were doing for Halloween etc then pulled me into a room by an instant message. Told me I was done. Gave reason this that and the other, other people wouldn’t say anything, or even look me in the eye which is disrespectful. If you’re gonna fire me at least look me in the eyes you cowards. Telling me good luck as you smile and happily bounce back in to your day. Never let you see me cry or get upset did I? Not worth it a–holes. Not a care in the world that my family is now in a bind.

The ONLY way you got called in and fired immediately is because you stole from Lowe's and got caught or you really got a customer mad. Attendance takes a long time and several write ups.

Why can't you say why?? Seriously you said this and that but what does that mean?? Was it attendance? How about performance? Either way you are crying to us and no one knows why. Lowe's doesn't just fire someone without cause.

It's at will employment, they don't need a reason. Yes it s—s, if you want things to change then vote for people with policies that would protect workers. As it is though not much you can do.

Narcissist… even the worst employees and the worst employer has a reason. not saying its fair but the writing is usually on the wall if you can read it. Narcissist = never their fault on anything always someone else. I empathize with your situation but just like AA sometimes you gotta work the program. stop blaming others and pick yourself up there is better work out there if you reach for it.

Unless your position was eliminated or committed a Class A violation. It is hard to get fired from Lowes unless it's an attendance issue.

Try not calling out every weekend and working your full shift and maybe this wouldn’t have happened. You were a good part timer but s—ed as a full timer. Hopefully you learn from this and become more responsible.

What was your position and what reasons were given? Was it store management or the AP team? Store management can’t just jump to a termination without a very good reason.

Fake News. Everyone knows there’s a specific path to be fired at this company. To be instantly fired it has to be ethical reasons otherwise there’s a write up procedure. Go back to ya mommas basement.
