I’m going to be honest. I enjoy coming in and doing nothing. I enjoy my boss no longer pretending he gave a sh– about my career. I enjoy watching desperate (dumb) people trying to cling onto whatever semblance of their old “career” still exists. I’ll sit here and give you nothing until you give me my change of control. I don’t want to work on the integration, I don’t want to jump ship to WES (desperate much) and I certainly don’t want to meet you Oxy folk (no offense). I’m personally tired of the negativity around here. Embrace the chaos, you cowards.

My workload has increased since the acquisition without formal org charts. I guess it is what you make it. GIS is one discipline I’ve heard has nothing to do.
Oxy's cutting the budget by half for next year versus what it would have been, so naturally there are many areas where there just won't be much to do, from DJ to West Texas to GoM to PRB and more. I don't know many APC folks who are all that busy yet; even the few that are staying with Oxy.

I'm in GOM, and there is no good reason for COC. Still in The Woodlands, still with the same people and teams. We have much less activity and work to do due to Oxy cutting us back, but we've been told it could be temporary, so it doesn't qualify for good reason. Oxy wants to keep us in tact until they decide what to do with us. I wish they'd just sell us or move on, but it's going so slow. So we all sit here, completely checked out, with nothing to do.
Why don’t you just find a reason to get COC. If your management approves it, you’re golden.
