Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Call to action!!!

To paraphrase a quote by Martin Niemoller:

>>>First they came for the audit team , and I did not speak out—because I was not a member of the audit team.

Then they came for accounting, and I did not speak out— because I was not a cash office employee.

Then they came for receiving, claims, and PTC's, and I did not speak out—because I was affected.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.<<<

They are not done coming for us. Are we going to just sit back and wait for them to call our number? Are those of us remaining really so naive as to believe that we are immune from the carnage?? How many more good associates do we have to watch be forcibly removed before we finally decide to take a stand???

Really? How many??

I don't think the OP was calling for a revolution. But they make a good point.
We complained but didn't let it reflect in AES or other ways when they let go of managers, good or bad.
We just thought it was a fluke when they cut comp shopper and acctg lead.
Painful but dealt with audit cut with leads and others taking over their areas but no real boost.
T-b-cco gone for some, but here you can do this position.
PTC gone, replaced by workday and a manager, and a huge joke.
Wireless outsourced.
Am I missing any since the very upsetting manager cuts? And this is just the club level. Look at what they did to markets and their teams.
We can't continue to think we're safe because we're in xxxx area.

Do I have a solution? Not right now. Even if I had one, like so many of the home office ideas, it won't work everywhere.

Omg, this isn't a country. This isn't a government. It's a place of business. You have freedom to come or go as you please. It's a furner mess, for sure, but it's only a job. Drama much?

OP What in the world are you suggesting? Taking a stand by doing what? Shutting down departments isn’t a Civil Rights violation; it’s called their prerogative to do what they want with their company. Honestly!
Is it c-appy? Yes. But what the hell isn’t.
That being said, a walkout isn’t a bad idea but it’ll probably never happen (not that it would solve anything). I’d love a Club to prove me wrong, though.
