Any insight as to whether telephonic CM programs will have layoffs?

You are spot on. The amount of waste is embarrassing. Communucation issues. Also way too many directors. There are asso. directors, directors, sr director, etc.
The CEO still is making millions . . . did he get a salary reduction? Doubt it! And for Optum Care–why don't they cancel the Summit? That would have paid for many people's salaries for at least another year. Such a wasteful event! It is just a pep rally that can be written off . . . nothing gained for those of us attending.
Laid off Product Owners at Optum Tech. Directors, architects, and PMs were also let go.

I have been told the same. That no more planned cuts before this year in the org by my manager. Unknown what will happen in 2020. But for 2019, hopefully, that is it!
Was told that all impacted have been informed and nothing more on the horizon (of course that is the message), but who knows.

What teams were cut in Optum technology/Eden prairie? What site? You're fired already and others would like to know how this is playing out.
HCT is totally eliminated. Lots of what was UCS now Enterprise Clinical Capabilities, that was supposed to be effective in January, likely gone. This is going to be massive, massive layoffs, I hope people were already in the process of looking. Going to be a miracle to stay with UHG now.

What department are you in, with the 130 staff meeting? What is your location and what line of business are you in?
C&S Whole Person Care had a very vague meeting this morning. Some site leads were laid off. Upper management stated it would be another meeting tomorrow to discuss more.

HouseCalls Pharmacy in Optum Care having a big layoff. Many going to OptumRx the rest done on 11/20 also.
Optum Tech, Eden Prairie, dept of ~87, lost 18 , VP on down
Optum Tech, dept of ~75, lost 3, 2 director and 1 analyst.
There are many companies hiring in Q4. Anthem, Cigna and others.
Good luck on that. Unless you're applying for retail, there's generally little hiring that anyone does in Q4. With keeping people on until 11/20 and then the severance package (that I hope everyone is getting) that should tide people over until January when companies start hiring like it happens every year.
I'm generally pretty pro-business and understand that hard decisions have to be made, but RECORD profits EVERY quarter and then turning around and laying-off the people that made that happen... that's BS.
So very sorry this is happening, I am getting out now before everyone starts applying and there is nothing until after the holidays!

HCT is hospital care transition coordinator - we were nurses onsite at hospital and remote. Our role was to reduce the 30 day readmissions. We are done, the whole program is cut. No offer to land us in other positions- they will pay us through 11/20 and we are waiting for our email regarding severance package. There were 100 of us across the nation including managers.

I just got information from my Optum Tech counterparts regarding being laid off today. So there is some truth to Optum Tech Layoffs.
Can you tell us the leadership structure for HCT??
HCT is done I guess the billions of dollars we made in profit wasn’t enough.
Maybe healthcare for all isn’t so bad at the moment.
