So we have to keep laying people off because we don't have money and the situation is supposedly so bad that it's absolutely necessary to keep cutting more and more employees on a monthly - if not weekly - basis ... and now suddenly we have money to consider buying HP??? Seriously???

I don't for a second believe Xerox either want or are able to buy HP. They're playing a game of some kind. I imagine they're actually aiming to manipulate HP into buying Xerox.
Like everything else inside Xerox today......... “It doesn’t make sense .” ???
I’m confused. Sounds like Xerox wants to buy HP and not the other way around. Thought Xerox was being groomed for a sale. Where do they get the cash to buy HP?
So 1) no tech powerhouse 2) buy declining competitor 3) Icahn can’t sell
Something else has to be in play
They are clearly lying.
Profit up Revenue down. Same old same old. Got to get revenue up. Then there will be growth instead of shrinkage.
It’s been made clear from Darwin Deason’s interview that there looking for an attractive offer once they have groomed the company. Him and Icahn have no interest in running Xerox for too long. And forget what the CEO says. He’s board lead.
