We are NOT AMAZON!!! Some people want it. Most don't. We are way over priced. No one cares. Might work great in urban stores where prices are high. Does not do well in rural stores like ours. DL says write them up. Find new people. Where are they?? NO ONE WANTS TO WORK HERE.!!!!

CVS = force CarePass down the customers throat or you’re fired!

And why shouldn’t you write someone up? Asking is a job requirement now. If your employees aren’t asking then they aren’t doing their jobs right. So therefore they should be written up.

When a DL tells you to write everyone up a call should be made to Corporate. Don't call the Ethics line call Jon Roberts office anonymously. He doesn't think that stuff happens anymore. If enough call they won't say "it's a one off"

Try asking them if they shop at cvs at least once a month? If they say yes they you say “I have a membership just for you!” Guarantee you will get at least 3-6 signups a day with this line.

Ok here’s the thing... I ask everyone and get 7 responses... 1. They just outright say no thank you. (A lot of people just say no, and we’re told not to badger the customer)

  1. I get people interested but they say “I need to talk it over with my husband/wife first”. And they take a brochure home with them, to think about it.
  1. They are interested until they find out it costs money, so then it’s no. (And FYI with the $5 a month option you actually pay $60 not $48)
  1. They are interested even though it costs money, until they find out how much money it costs. (Not everyone has $50 to drop on this)
  1. They are interested and willing to pay the fee, until they hear you have to provide a credit/debit card, and they’d rather not give out a credit card.
  1. They would rather not sign up for “another” subscription service, especially if they have a few subscription services they are signed up for already.
  1. After the several things that we have to ask them for prior to asking them about carepass, they just want to pay for their stuff and leave. (Most people are time-crunched to begin with)

Add up these 7 responses and I struggle to get carepass sign-ups. You’ll be surprised how many people are not interested in saving $10. So what exactly am I doing wrong? I am trying SO HARD! I wish this carepass thing would just go away. Our store hasn’t gotten yet to writing people up for not getting enough signups, but it is slowly heading in that direction.

Carepass is easy. Like handing candy to a baby.
