Why can't they just lay off everybody they plan to lay off in one day? Why make us wait and stress unnecessarily? I'm getting really tired of all this c-ap.

There are laws prohibiting them from furloughing too many employees without advanced notice. By spacing them out they are staying just within limits. Google the WARN Act.
In the process they’ve lost a lot of good people that well not be returning When this is all over remembering this is only temporary and will not last. It’s not a viable long term Business plan.
Because they don’t know what that number is. They just cut and wait to see how much they bleed. Then if it’s not too much they cut again.
