We all know that by now the question is how big will the layoffs be, rather that will they happen? I believe that everybody is aware that things will get real ugly and that we all have to brace for impact.
Has anyone heard any rumors about what will be the method of these layoffs? Will they be targeting certain employee profiles, or certain positions more than others? Any way to tell who is in most danger?

I think you need to be worried about the company closing down for good, not layoffs.
Your profile will be the first to go. You can set an example for everyone else.
No idea but in the past, people that are in the top pay tier for their position are usually targeting. Level I & II’s are generally safest but Sr & Advisors get looked at closer. Fringe areas that may not be necessary with low activity (even if they do great work). I’m guessing we won’t do much step out or exploration over next 1-3 yrs. Special Project groups.
