Dead company buying a bigger dead company. Misery loves company.
Please. None of this HP buy was intended or planned. The goal was to get to $40. There was never any plan for revenue, regardless of what the investors were told. FX had to be addressed in order to attract buyers, but it took too long-the clock is ticking toward 2020 debt payment and dismal market performance. This is a Hail Mary move which diligence would uncover in a sane world. The publicized cuts made by HPQ and the largely hidden cuts by XRX are going to make the billions in synergies impossible to achieve. Not chess at all. Forced hand since they had 0 plan for revenue growth.
