As long as Teradata has the same inept director levels and above, they will be a bit player and lose market share. What a shame that a once-good company has such id–ts for management.

id–ts in management in corporate America is a common thing. If you have a great product to sell and the market loves it that should work OK. Teradata had a great product for several decades but they stoped being a database company and lost focus long time ago ... failed the victim of their own success. Stupid multi-million dollar acquisitions (Aprimo, Aster), late in the cloud game, strong competition from more agile, hungry and cheap startups, lost focus on this Vantage c-ap, internal mismanagement and wrong people at the top - all of that contributed to this mess. I wouldn't blame it all on OR or VL.
