With the new PTO policy, you can never actually use the time you are eligible for. The only way to earn enough PTO in their new plan is to work a bunch of overtime. A person 1-5 years of service has to work 16.25 hours to earn 1 hour of PTO.
Which is one thing until you think about this... if you take a week of vacation then you will not be accruing time while on vacation so that means you will lose out on accruing almost 3 days of PTO. They will not let you accrue time for anything that is not physically at the park on the clock time.
Then they preach about being able to rollover.. well you are not allowed to use more than “the bucket eligible “ so if you rollover you are just having it available at the beginning of the year. In which because it accrues until Dec. 31st everyone will have time being rolled over every year whether you want it to or not.
When people complain in meetings about it the senior leaders basically tell you if you don’t like it to find another job. We are just a number. That’s it. They will replace you for cheaper and move on. Make sure you know that.
