The unions are nothing but a business to take your money. Just look at their payrolls to the "union employed people". Look at how much they have put in their pocket. Days of old are gone in a dying company. We have been without a contract for months here. No sign of any type of contract on the horizon either. Working off of 90 extensions here locally. Will these unions find us work when the company shuts its doors? I think not. They will probably try to collect dues from our unemployment checks. Thank our wonderful CEO and president who should have been fired a long time ago for the state of the business. His benefits haven't been reduced I bet.
Your current membership voted on the contract. They gave up your benefits!
About the reply to join Retired Members Council......I joined as sone as I received letter from President Chris Shelton when I retired in Ct. in 2017.......Paided the 25 bucks they claimed was to protect my health care that they said I had earned.....Now that I’m losing my retiree health care, called President of CWA office in DC and the response has been CRICKETS
The Boomer threw the younger workers underneath the bus in 2003. What did you expect them to strike for people that eliminated job security and pensions?
As a Retiree it is important to stay involved with the union. Become a member of the "Retired Members Council" . Then get involved with the contract negotiations, let the working members know your out there to help and also be remembered.
Its setting everyone else up for similar issues in the future. Way to go CWA you've proven yet again how useless you really are.
NY ibew 363 retirees no longer have retiree medical for years. You won't be the last state.
