Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sears.com Inventory Problems

I have been monitoring the sears.com webpage for things people buy often. This past month about 90% of the items I monitor are out of stock. The customer service representatives tell me that all these everyday items will be restocked soon and that "a customer bought a large amount over labor day weekend." These items include, window washer fluid, structure watches, small hand tools, box cutters, small kitchen appliances, etc. I think that this is another sign of imminent shut down of sears and sears.com.

Interesting. In the past when there was more IT people they would just tell the on line customer that we had the item in store and they would travel 100 miles or so for it. Of course we really didn't have the item and the customer would pitch a fit and demand to see the manager who apparently they believed had magical abilities and could just pull the item out of thin air. But it did get the customer in a store were they could buy an expired magazine or something and they were no longer the IT person's problem.

Op your are full of it. I haven’t seen this many hand tools in 6 months- as for “washer fluid” seriously. Who goes to sears for that??? Who wears a watch nowadays especially “structure” ?

Sears is having supplier and vendor problems. Most have stopped shipment to stores. Another fact that Transformco fails to report.

The only reason I go to a store website is to
check if what I’m looking for or something similar is in stock at the store. If the item is not at the store or online, then it never will be.
