Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Customer surveys... pointless

What an absolute waste of a program. Is corporate not aware that the majority of people taking these surveys are store associates?

Whenever we find a random receipt, a handful of employees from the front end collect them and fill out the surveys. Then, when we get all “10’s”... it’s celebration time. Smoke and mirrors.

I am a cashier. I can tell you that the surveys are directly linked to the cashier that rang that customer out. Our job performance is actually rated by nothing other than those surveys. So if a complete stranger has an attitude, and gives us a low rating, we are judged by it. It isn't right. Also, our store manager pushes us to get as many as possible to the point that those with low numbers of surveys or none at all feel threatened. I also heard other stores have begun writing up cashiers who have received zero surveys. We cannot force people to do them, yet our performance is based on whether or not strangers do them and favor us. It's total c-ap.

Never do it at Lowe's or at least turn off the Wi-Fi and use (with their permission) friends emails. Don't give 10s, give them exactly what they deserve and tank them. "Oh it'll hurt your store, your coworkers, blah blah blah" that's the BS used to help keep you in line, stop feeling bad and give them exactly what they have earned

Remembering back to my business classes dealing with tools like surveys...they are at best a faulty measure...no assurance of a properly representative cross section of the customer base.

We come about our ltr score the honest way at my store. I hope that your store isn’t doing these at the store since corporate knows if the surveys come from a device on the Lowe’s network.
