Thread regarding CVS layoffs

New rumors

I can’t believe there aren’t more rumors posted here after the big meetings. Usually people post all kinds of stuff that they heard about at the meetings on what’s coming and what’s changing. This year seems lame.

Manager told me last meeting, a videos were shown from last paragon conference. One of the videos showed a CVS executive saying he looses sleep at night cause of the many poor performing managers. He said “it’s getting hard to hide these poor performing managers. And that every manager should be prepared to run a hub store. Made it sound like something big is coming next year. Has anyone heard anything about this, or has anyone seen the video?

Leadership and managing team a big part of MSH in 2020. Seems to be connected to Merlo signing “Business Roundtable” pledge for Wall Street to start honoring all stakeholders in company, which includes employees of the company. There’s much to speculate on integrity of how they will hold to that commitment or wether it is all for the sake of optics. One high up CVS official seemed to show some real fear of employees revolting or sabotaging the company like employees in several other companies. (GM, tech companies, Rite Aid, etc.)

New myStore health scorecard adding schedule again, staffing, managers bonus and heard about the multiple stores too but agree that's a crazy rumor. New Total rewards which looks to be half screw us half may be good. Sales scripts going up like usual new programs to get Aetna customers. They are opening a lot of hubs, DL taking over targets in their area possible realignment but a small one the real low volume stores will be getting screwed

I like the closing at 9pm part! The 156 hours part, not so much. But seriously is there any truth to that?

Cvs makes a manager work over 70 hrs a week , that’s all free labor. Take out manager you’ll have to replace those hours with $$$.. Not Happening!!! What will happen all stores are going to go to 156 budget hrs a week. 8-9p

It will save a ton of payroll and bonuses, which will be cut down next year. Have $17 an hour shifts replacing $30 hour manager. Plus districts may grow so Mimi DL for way less money.

Managers running multiple stores
??? I don't see it , don't believe it.
They tested it to horrible failure
And it would actually ad to payroll in the cvs way which is more hours not payroll dollars
Any teeth yo this ?

They will be fine running an insurance company as long as they let Aetna continue to run itself. BUT if corporate steps in and they try to run things “the cvs way” Aetna will fail.

We are to hold what we've got to gather while they figure out how to run an insurance company
