Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

5 years with US Bank and concerned

Is the fraud teams combining and new automation it or is there concern of another end of Q4 early Q1 lay-off? Anybody have news?

Clean up your resume and interview like crazy. Time things wisely. Get your severance and get ahead of everyone else. Remember nobody will care about your career as much as you will. Nobody owes you anything. You owe a better future to yourself and your family.

I heard they were cutting about 1700 and that does include their estimates for the Fargo service center. I work in a fraud speciality and my manager has been quite different lately. I think they know something is coming but cannot tell us.

They are cutting 3K jobs and they will be most likely cutting another 500-1000 between Fargo, Minneapolis and Kansas.

Has anyone actually been told anything? Last year this happened to an entire department(laid off) next to mine. Makes me very nervous in October.

Honestly, every quarter is something. If you survive this quarter, there will be something new next quarter - also, it's not just our problem - pick any bank and you'll see things play out exactly the same... The issues are systemic, outsourcing, low profits, etc...
