Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Permanent CEO?

Reading between the lines inside and outside of the company, there seems to be an early consensus that it's Gibbons's job to lose. Most of the Wall Street analyst notes are downplaying any noticeable contribution CS really made, pointing out that the stock underperformed, growth has been disappointing other than a lot of layoffs, and that he went on a big hiring spree. There were even a few pointing out that Gibbons knowing BK inside out, having been there for 30 years, involved in most of the bank operationally, and as ex-CFO is probably what BNY needs with one noting he's a good choice from a culture perspective.
