Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

It’s Official, Customer Centric Schedule Drops

The bottom line is simply this: we will work 46 out of 52 weekends a year!!!!!!!

There’s no sugar coating it, dressing it up, or BS-ing their way around this. Ellison, McRacist Joe, Jen Webber, & the Activist Investors have drawn a line in the sand!

They have officially taken the position their people DON’T matter. In fact, they want the F/T knowledgeable people gone, that’s obvious!

And then Jen Webb has the audacity to send out an email this afternoon announcing the EOS survey. Please!!!

They could give two shizzits what we think. What a lousy, greedy group of bassterds!

I seen this many times company trying to get rid of full timers save on money very greedy company.

^^^. This, they want people to leave slowly so they can replace them with cheaper labor. Every employees breaking point is different. They aren’t prepared for a mass exodus. Everyone should get out now. That’s the only way the employees have any leverage.

Re: tracking Kronos edits, what about the edits when Kronos has PT people working when they aren’t avail, because this is their second job, like sched school workers who need 2nd shift , for a Lowe’s shift during school hours or students wanting to work weekends only? Will those edits be counted or even allowed? Also, is the silly scheduling of a 3hr shift continues for those wanting longer shift, PT’ers will go elsewhere.

test store as well. we were told a couple weeks ago if we edited the schedule going forward that corporate would come down on us as they were now going to be tracking the edits. we asked numerous questions that exposed kronos mistakes but we were told it no longer mattered. our entire management team cant stand CSC and not having control to run our store. corporate is weaponizing the schedule so that they can have total control and strangle the hours away.

Most companies use this style of scheduling Lowe's was a outlying company most companies since late 90s never gave a weekend of or consecutive days off together in the retail or customer service field. I've worked other places than Lowe's and this isn't a new scheduling concept it does however expose the entitled people mindset it's a job they pay you to show up and work you are really just a number and to think otherwise is laughable.

Make no mistake, this is yet another way to reduce payroll at the stores to fill the pockets of those at the top.

I work in one of the test stores for customer centric scheduling. It’s a disaster and the management in the store freely admit it. So, do what we do. Ignore it. I change the schedules for my departments all the time. I change days off so that they are together as much as possible. I reduce hours so that no one works more than a regular nine hour shift with a lunch. I even go out of my way to make sure that people get one weekend a month at least. There may be no set rotations but you don’t have to be a slave to the damn computer. Believe me, ignoring it is the best way to go.
