Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

There is only one way to see it

when you dissolve your assets (employee's) you dissolve your corporation period.

A big part of the problem mindset is who we emulate as "great" companies. Marvin has often mentioned wanting to be best in class retail like Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Best Buy etc. Now only Costco would be considered a "great" company by any matrix other than profitability. So if just being more profitable is the ONLY goal then say so. There are ways to cut and cheapen your way to short term profitability, but that doesn't make you great

We’ve had several Lowe’s employees leave for Walmart; all of them say Walmart is a better employer.

This is how low Lowe’s has sunk under Marvin and the last few years of Niblock.

What we are seeing is the ‘Walmarting’ of Lowe’s—get rid of high wage, experienced, tenured employees that helped make the company what it is today and bring in a bunch of college kids and others that will work for bare minimum. It’s sad.
