Thread regarding Micro Focus layoffs

It's almost November, very popular for layoffs with Micro Focus 2019

Revenue is down, sales are poor, blah, blah, blah. The same thing we hear every time it's time to do salary reviews. BUT November is a very popular time for Micro Focus to layoff due to year-end. Of course, none of these will be for upper management. Has it started yet?

Heard of a few layoffs. And to add insult to injury, they keep promoting managers who are completely inept. GT who? Nice job Micro Focus. Way to be in touch. I just keeps going downhill. There are plenty of jobs right now. Run.

Does anyone have the info about engineering dept lay off for Arcsight for US office? We are hearing this merger rumours but nothing solid yet. Being on visa, it would be good if we need to make a move - not getting any clarity from mgmt.

The boys who agreed to buy HPE SW stake really showed the whole wide world how b—s—ting really works. A bunch of arrogant little brits!
Worst execs the world ever saw.
2020 will show what the future holds and become the one and only destiny year.

In response to the Financial Org comment, I see the trend of draining the knowledge from the existing US employees to these other international hubs. It's going on in all divisions I see except Marketing and Sales. They have to keep Salespeople in the US. If you are not in those groups, you shouldn't be making any big purchases. It's going to be Europe running the show with a few management minions here to carry out their wishes. All the work will be done in these offsite offices. There are already quite a few problems due to different working styles, lack of personal interaction, lack of knowledge and history, and time differences. Sad state of affairs.

They are definitely trying to eradicate the US. They are turning things over to people that have no background. But they are cheaper so who needs quality when you can make more money for the top management. I see nothing good coming of all of this. Technically, there will be people in the seats but at what cost?

Finance organization transformation, you haven't heard about this? Moving to the hub model, so all Stack A employees worldwide in the org(mostly US) are being WFR'd. But not until we train our replacements first. Hubs will be in Guadalajara, Chennai, and one in EMEA but I cant remember the location. Basically if you arent in any of those locations, you're gone. We were all told this in July. Anyone who sticks it out til the end will be WFR'd February-March timeframe.
