So we had been cutting all T1s back to a select few collos as Verizon gave us flat pricing instead of cost per mile. We cut thousands of T1s over the last 2yrs. Now Verizon pulled that pricing agreement and we have to roll everything back to the collos closest to the customer. Its good tho, these have been the only jobs we have had in ETA the last 2yrs as there havent been any new turnups.

This is just another contract like any other. Most of the agent channel is/was in the business of selling circuits. That business is declining and we are focusing on selling SW. It makes more sense for us to use our sales force and not agent sales. Just another sign of the times and the march of technology.

T-1, POTS, DSL, and PRI's are dying technologies moving in favor of SD-WAN and SIP. WIN is already trying to sunset the TDM and ATM networks because they have no value.
