BAD AND SAD!

Nurses making 70k+ to be the tlephonic "welcome wagon" . Talk about dead weight? It starts there. 1/2 nurses 1/2 former PAS department employees who have NO Medical training. All calling themselves "case managers", What "case" lasts 3-7 days? It's ambulance chasing at best, by a department filled with overpaid, underutilized RNs.
Layoffs are needed. There is a ton of deadweight in the company and people who are retired on the job. While it's true some good performers had to be let go due to financial constraints and picking "nice to have" vs. "need to have" most of this recent round of layoff was an excercise in eliminating low valued, low performers out of the organization
Layoffs that are well needed in my opinion. Too many clinics are staffed with Social workers & Dietitians that sit in there offices all day at the computer. You'll see the Dietitians once per month after labs are drawn. These patients aren't being educated properly upon starting Dialysis. They involve themselves with what the Technicians/Nurses are/aren't doing. Spend that salary & staff the clinics with more Nurses & Technicians that are providing DIRECT PATIENT CARE.
