By now most Oxy folks have gotten a taste of Anadarko leadership (and I use that term very loosely). You've seen the nepotism and cronyism that resulted in complete incompetence across several departments. Which department surprises you the most with its ineptitude?

AAET. So many of these people looking for jobs. Can't find any.
Oxy HR cant even answer questions for the GOM cause they are in way over their head, all they tell them is we cant answer that at this time. Which means to them that they are in the process of trying to sell them. They keep stating the GOM is not for sale but everything has a price and can be sold. Just sell the GOM so those guys will hopefully be bought by an organization that has their SH*T together. Feel bad for the office employees dealing with this cluster.

Really? Oxys disgusting track record, shameful reputation, disgraceful employees and all the things they've messed up on at every level, and these Oxy people on here have the nerve and audacity to bad mouth another energy company??! I think that is the saddest thing I have ever seen.
Bloated salaries? It’s the energy business we’re not pulling turnips. First sign of getting old is when you start complaining about prices.
AAET absolutely. But let us no forget the CAO. Since accountants by virtue of their profession, lack tangible skillsets, promotions are almost exclusively based around brown nosing, bootlicking and cutting down fellow colleagues. Combined with the extremely bloated salaries for staff and management who do absolutey nothing for 90% of the month except gossip, makes for a very toxic work environment.
The AAET organization appears to have been a total @#$% show with incompetent leadership from the board all the way down to the hundreds of contractors trying their best to fool everyone around them. Looks like they were spending $150 million a year on whatever buzzwords sounds good in the media while the rest of the company mocked the incompetence. I laugh everytime I read an article in the press about the innovation they delivered and have yet to meet an Anadarko employee outside that team that can vouch for anything they delivered
