Why IBM is using A.I. to find jobs for people who don’t have a college degree

What about IBM using A.I. to find jobs for older, current employees as opposed to RA'g them?

1cej. You have hit the nail on the head. It’s all about costs and their take out. IBM Realizes they cannot continue to compete against Amazon, and Microsoft in a bidding war for labor. Thus they have tried to find the diamonds in the rough. Will it work?? Possibly, but there are very few diamonds to be mined vs what the universities pump out. Will those diamonds stay with IBM once they have some experience. I doubt it, if they are truly a diamond. IBM is taking a very short term view of labor, as I believe they wish to hire on the cheap for their legacy infrastructure. Can that strategy command loyalty. Yep because IBM’s the only game in town when it comes to proprietary Infrastructure. Redhat on the other hand has to hire in a crowded field. You don’t see them saying let’s go find a diamond, but rather you see them interviewing at most of the major universities. They realize they need to innovate and quickly if they are to compete with Amazon and Microsoft. Again it’s all about cost take out, and IBM is trying to compete on the cheap. It rarely works

A company run by legacy manufacturing financial people who treat all 'labor' as a cost to be minimized or eliminated when ever and how ever possible.

This is BS. Psychologists and statisticians have been using regression models to predict performance for over a frigging century. To say nothing of the fact that IBM regularly RAs highly skilled workers. IBM never ceases to amaze me with the level it of BS it markets. What a sham.
