Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

They Read This Stuff - Don’t Think They Don’t.

I know for a fact that corporate Lowe’s keeps an eye on this site, so if you’re going to voice complaints, make them good. But instead of complaining maybe there are other things you can do. 🤔

Whining about your boss, lazy coworkers and stupid customers is a waste of time. There’s no way to control this kind of stuff. It exists in ALL retail. If you really want to make a dent in corporate Lowe’s culture of stupid, then stop with the idle complaints.

You really want to stick it to Lowe’s for treating you like c-ap? You really want to make a change in a company that seems only obsessed with cutting costs and increasing their LTR scores? Then stop spending hours just whining and do something.

No, I don’t mean a union. Believe me, that’s almost as bad as nothing. The companies in this country have a hundred different ways of k–ling off unions. They almost enjoy it when people try to get one going.

But there are other ways to organize. You’re on one right now. You came to this website for a reason, right? You’re angry, demoralized and looking for a way to fight back against a company that seem to enjoy keeping you afraid and apprehensive about what’s coming next. Then use a site like this to propose ideas to do something about it. Stop wasting your time and make a move. Just venting isn’t going to get you anything and you know it. The only real way to make a difference is to find ways to fight back and communicate them to the rest of the associates. Use their systems and policies against them. Organize a mass call out day right in the middle of their busiest season. Things like that are the only real way to get a reaction and hit them where it hurts.

And the best part? It’s all anonymous. Nothing to trace back to any one associate. They can’t do a thing to you. 😎. So, stop idly venting at home on your computer and start using it to make them squirm. Sure, they monitor this site but who cares. Letting them see it coming just makes it more fun. I think it’s time to make Marvin and his flunkies feel the same kind of misery they inflict on us.

Ciao

The company shills can be anonymous users of this site, just you and I can, but they cannot see anyone’s IP just like you and I can’t. They also have no power over who gets blocked and which posts get nuked, if they could there would be no posts here at all.

IP address will only give you a generalized location. Lowes would have to get a warrant to figure out who it actually is don't be an id–t

“They” who monitor posts here routinely remove posts and even block the IP addresses of undesirable posters. If “they” can block an IP “they” can find you. So you are not anonymous. Just use your sick days up. When I left Lowe’s I had over 300 hours built up.

Yes they do waste money having people keep an eye out for their dirt online. I'm just surprised it took someone at corporate so long to get tired of it and start recording evidence so the real Lowe's can't be swept under the rug this time. Small hands Joe will be a PR dream compared to the upcoming show.

If they read this: Your NFL commercials are as annoying as the in store propaganda you all spew. Let's get some new material.

Just do what I do.

Anytime I have a customer who complains about the lack of help in the store I immediately offer to get them a manager. That usually stops the complaining. If they want I’m more than happy to give the email addresses and/or phone numbers for district, regional, or Marvin at corporate.

Get a lawyer on retainer? My dude winter is coming and I will barely be able to afford my heating bill.

Get a lawyer on retainer. Contact journalists, use ethics point, and email human resources with your lawyer cc'd.

Plenty of ways to get justice.

Thousands of surveys and CCIC's are swept under the rug at corporate daily, due to the negative nature of the complaints.

It will all come full circle eventually.

Retail Unions are a waste. They are worse than corporate. Take your dues for literally next to zero in return.

Unions are broken in the US. Elsewhere, where rates of organizing are incredibly high and it provides a decent standard of living, have sector-wide unions. Whereas we're stuck with single company unions only.

If we start a store union they shut the store down. Look at what happened when another retailer saw their butcher shop employees unionize: they fired them all and went to prepackaged in a matter of days.

Sector-wide unions however, they can't shut down or suppress. When Lowe's and Home Depot and Ace and Menards and True Value are all bargaining together, the business' leverage disappears.

Until we get that kind of union, don't expect any gains to be made that are snuffed out before they can draw their first few breaths.

Another way is to to anonymously respond to requests for information from journalists investigating Lowe's. Keep the contacts as factual as possible and label opinion as opinion.
