I am a long-term employee and I’m not surprised at all by what the company is doing. Feeding the human spirit is not about the employees as much as it is pushed and they want to turn it around and look like it is. Feeding the human spirit is about the customers in the store making sure that no one goes without eating. In the meantime the employees suffer with low wages managers have stocks taken away and see their raises dwindled to nothing. Lucky to get a raise. Score with an excellent review and get less of a raise then you did the year before. This move does not surprise me at all. A few years ago a VRO was offered but not this time it does not seem. They want loyalty and do associate surveys to see if the associates are happy but yet the comments mean nothing that are said and nothing changes. In our particular area Management is nothing and the so-called promised team and the union runs things. Rodney takes away takes away takes away takes away only for his own gain and profit.

King Soopers is the jewel in the Kroger crown, yet Kroger comes into Denver and tells us how to destroy what Loyd King spent his life doing instead of asking us how to get so many loyal customers like we had 20 years ago. Thanks for your service, now get the f— out!
I worked for them 27 years it was getting so bad I couldn’t stand going to work this company doesn’t care about there employees at all!!!!!!! I glad iWork for a company that cares!!!!! For now any way.
I agree. I worked for kroger for 6 years and by the time I left I was so miserable I was in tears every day. I wont be surprised if kroger goes bankrupt within the next decade. Even I know how to run a business better. Screw kroger.
F— Kroger, we call it living the Kroger life as a way to keep on keeping on. Even after going through extensive 6 week training to move up we have to wait 2 years for a 10 cent raise. Its not right, I've never worked anywhere where I didn't get a decent raise after a year based on good work ethic and good attendance record. 10 cents is an insult!
