Very true.. I was part of this round of layoffs. No warning whatsoever. I was given 2 weeks within the company to try to find a job. For any body that has ever been through the hiring process with UHC knows that 2 weeks is NOT adequate enough time. Also, we were told' There are no open positions' to transfer us to. I'm pretty sure there will be more layoffs by the beginning of the year.

or most likely overseas.
They only gave you 2 weeks on purpose, its called scorched earth termination they want you to be in mental duress so you just sign away all of your legal rights and accept the piddly a– severance package they give you with that sh–ty placement company, that has not placed any employee from this company that was terminated in 10 years. Its all eye wash do not be fooled by it, My director lied right to my face when I asked him if these layoffs were true more that 60 days ago, had that sob been honest there may have been a chance to get something in time. And I am not talking about with this company they have you flagged you will not get even an interview from their internal job posting site They know who you are you are slated for termination they know if they hired you it would be a lateral, and recruiters have been directed to not even talk to you.
Yes, if you are going to tell us your area was in a round of layoffs why not tell us where??

I too was laid off by Optum yesterday 10/8/19 and given only two weeks. No warning whatsoever. I loved my job prior but now not so much.
