Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

CPO

What does the CPO do other than create more work for store associates?

Seriously, every time they call it’s something that has to be done ASAP.

Today they call and want me to resolve an issue while they are on the phone; sorry I have customers in front of me cpo needs to wait. They get mad and phone my manager; sorry I have customers in front of me.

Do they have cash registers at cpo? I doubt it!

CPO is the Counter Productive Office. When I was a PSE most of the calls I received from them were about parts for windows on repair, or for fence parts that were ordered and tagged as delivered but were not at site. The remaining calls were for a customer asking for something that was not in SCOPE OF WORK or on the CONTRACT the customer SIGNED. I became a resolution and a product specialist because no one trained CPO people and Lowe’s took my assistant away. I quit because of what they created.

CPO is a central office, so no they don't have cash registers there. They also tend to call the store because an order was sold wrong by the store. CPO also has customers waiting. A customer on the phone is just as important as one in front of you. Maybe more so because the CPO customer already bought and may cancel if the issues arent resolves.

CPO is no different than your old install team that would kick back issues to you. Unless of course your old team just handles problems on their own, allowing specialists to continue making mistakes.
