Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Why move him to Walmart?

To let him F up more stuff??? I am over the moon happy he is no longer over Sam's, but God help those at Walmart. And they didn't even wait for fiscal year. Starting November 1st without naming a replacement. Any ideas on what happened? Maybe they needed someone at Walmart really quick? It's obvious they have not seen the error in their ways or else they would've gotten rid of him altogether. My guess is they want someone to change things up at Walmart and know Furner slits throats without blinking and eye. Hang on guys, it's going to hurt!

I think before officers roll out personnel changes, they should have to do the actual work in a club with those changes.

Of course Furner would have to get off his bicycle long enough to test out his own dull witted ideas. And that will never happen.

Better yet, make a Walton work I their own stores and deal with their own customers. That’d be a real eye opener.

@1zow. Well that's good to hear and I can only hope it's true. I left before he came to the market I was in.

@rgx
I read an article that a market manager in CA was part of a lawsuit filed back in the early 90's when he didn't promote highly qualified women. Suddenly he "left" the company and was brought back a couple years ago -
So I guess anyone can just say "I read and article" and it's true just like today's media I suppose.
You are so far off planet earth on this one it's actually not funny. I am sure you are referring to Dukes vs Wal-Mart which I would agree probably had some merit . The thing I disagree with is some of these so called highly qualified women you speak of were not highly qualified at all . The Market Manager did not leave the company for that reason, left on excellent terms and had an outstanding track record of promoting females to leadership roles. To my knowledge he never even worked with Furner.
I do agree with you that things can be better once you leave the company but, I wouldn't trade my time with the company for anything as it helped me in countless ways. (The old Sam's that is ) . Good luck to everyone who it left.

Those that left Sam's and went to Walmart, I wonder what's going through their head right now...

@ezm... yes he is. Brought back market managers and regionals that do not support women in leadership. I read an article that a market manager in CA was part of a lawsuit filed back in the early 90's when he didn't promote highly qualified women. Suddenly he "left" the company and was brought back a couple years ago. Definitely a boys club and women in leadership should not trust or promote with this company. They only keep the token few that will go along with their crazy boy antics. So much better out in the real world. I was an assistant and left a couple years ago and I'm already a store manager with my new company and it's well run and not chaotic.

Furner is part of the boys club at Walmart. His daddy was an officer of the company.

But yes. God help Walmart.

Just think about it. Why would they move him ? Because his work is done with Sam's. Which means there's more to come. Move him before the sh@t show begins.

God Bless all of our Walmart cousins out there! This is going to ROCK your world. Let’s see how much damage he can do now after he has K–led this end of Sam Walton’s company.
