Thread regarding HSBC layoffs

Morale is at an all-time low

Things have gone from bad to worse here really quickly. Now it's no longer just the low pay that's below industry standards and lousy managers who have no idea how to do their jobs that make our lives difficult.

No, now we also have to worry about constant offshoring that could leave us without a job without notice AND layoff announcements that just keep growing in numbers.

I'm really not sure how many more experienced people HSBC can afford to lose like this, but I guess those in charge will work on finding that out...

I was offered a job there in April. A well playing job with TV in the $250k range. Everything was right in writing but something seemed off about the growth strategy. We’re investing heavily in the branch network they said. That one sentence is the reason I turned it down and I’m so glad I did. Nothing but bad news since. Best of luck folks.
