If they would make it 178k wabe any penalty, I’m currently 57 with 21 years of service I’d take it and be gone

1106 and 1101 local members, I haven't seen anything on their websites but I have spoken to buddies in both locals who said they got the info from their locals visiting the garages this week. I am ready to go but I'm in upstate n.y 1118, so far we haven't heard anything from our union.
Good luck

To AMF: I remember that offer....it came out aug 23 and had to be off payroll by OCt 9 2016....I wasn’t in a position to consider retirement at that time....where did you get the info on the new offer from? Are you upstate or downstate? I’d love to see the numbers for the rest of NY

Heard the same numbers recently. With the Pbcg being so low that is a decent $ if somebody would happen to be ready. Does anybody hear anything about doing away with the age penalty? With this offer.

Sorry 76k total. I agree that its lame in comparison to last offer. Last offer was 121k total for my friend who was 53 with 28 years service in upstate ny. and that was 3 years ago.
Sorry about previous mistake for total.

If the company is looking to get rid of associates, that $78k in previous post will not do it since for the next 3 yrs we could bank a lot more...that’s not even 1 year salery for most union members.

If that’s the offer...it’s just EIPP without the bonus money.....48 monthly pmts....plus like 18k for the EIPP and 10K kicker....that’s not going to create a mass exodus but some will leave because of how low PBGC rates are....it’s a cheap tease to get out the desperate.....they will make a better offer down the road imo....

If that is the offer it is insulting They will not get anywhere near the amount of people. Why waste the paper ? Also that does not add up to 68k

I have a question, my director told me she hasn't heard of an offer coming out. doesn't it come from a director level and wouldn't she surely know? would she maybe not tell me anything?

Latest rumor mill,
E board of 1101 to meet members this week at garage locations. November offer will be one of the topics of discussion,
Off payroll in December. Nothing specific for dollar amounts but supposed to be similar to previous offers.

@2jbw....
I remember that. And, if I recall correctly, no one was granted the 2014 off payroll date.
I think they put that in to cover themselves against having too many people leave at once.

I say b.s. to 1zcb. Dec 31 is not the end of the schedule for 2019. The last eisp I received back in 2013 said off the books by Dec 29, 2013, or a date in 2014.

So...somebody has numbers for NY now? I cringe to think of the source....but since we are throwing out info, any numbers for FAA 5? I have to think it would be fairly small....any other details?

To ask is moot point...no one knows, even the ones who would present the offer withing VZ. They may have talked, and even plan, but even a plan usjust that, can have a date set and all..doesnt mean they cant pull back the idea at last second. Only rumors, and I reiterate rumor that I have more faith in than on here, is the financial institutes that have a large number of VZ clients, from peons like me to high level managers and above. People like to talk, and they get to hear.......rumors. So they feel mid 4Q, and again, feel...but if it dont happen by 3rd week nov, it wont happen at all. That's it...speculation, rumors, and maybe inside information,( which is really the only hope), but that and 1.50 gets you a soda. Want to leave..look at the 0.0 rate in January as your eisp, wont get better than that rate, and from there your lump can only go down in the future.
Maybe that's what the company is banking on, 0.0 rate given over a eisp.
