Pull My Own Orders

I’m a cashier, keep this in mind.

Last night I’m the building materials cashier, there is no one scheduled in the department after 7 pm. About 9 pm a customer comes in and wants to purchase some things to finish off his basement. There is no one to help him; I point out the item number on a nearby item and have the customer walk around with a sheet of paper noting item numbers and quantities. I ring it up as a pick up later. I arrive today and I’m told I need to pull the order. WTH you have 3 associates in building materials all standing around eating donuts and a cashier has to pull and order?

Sale was for close to $2,300.

Pull all the wrong sh– screw the order up the customer will be p-ss-d and they won't ask you to do it again

You sale it you pull it no exceptions

Cashiers shouldn’t be pulling any orders at all. They should be ringing up customers. Load pullers and/or employees in that department should be pulling the orders.

And cashiers are the ones criticiting pro walking around the store.

We get the "your names on it, you own it" all the time. That's why I am walking around, pulling my orders.

As of Thursday, I'm over $127,000 for the month. Not all, obviously, are p/l or delivery, but I'm busy.
