Help! My manager deducted my pay

So I'm a Meat cutter who works in Illinois and this "Manager" of mine just told me that when she hired me, she gave me too many credits and now she's going to cut my pay.

She's only doing this after I voiced some concerns I had about the department and she took it personally as she always does.

My question is does anyone know how the credits work through workday? I know you can get a maximum of 5 credit on top of whatever the minimum pay is for that position. But how much is each credit worth?

I think the credits are really somewhere between 60 cents and 1 dollar

Is the job offer sheet truly a legally binding contract?

False. She can do this. Once you submit the offer it’s ask for credits if you hit the wrong number you can pay someone a lot of money. This can be reversed if done in error most ppl shouldn’t have more then 1 credits it’s very unlikely to give a lot of credits. Sorry but she can if you don’t get the credits.

I had a situation like this in reverse. An associate was getting paid less than what was on the job offer and the hiring manager was able to get on the phone with workday and have the pay increased.

Maybe she tried to call and have your pay decreased?

They can’t unless it is a demotion or you were put in the wrong job classification by mistake, i.e., you were hired as a merchandiser at $12 and were job coded as a TeamLead at $18. I agree with the post above, sounds like she is trying to demote you.

She had nothing to do with your credits complete BS. Former PTC here it is automated by the system for that reason. You signed a job offer she just can't take pay. She may be trying to demote you on the sly don't acknowledge anything without reading the job description if it differs from the original she messing with u

It's .40 for each year of related experience, up to 5 years. I was just hired and make $2.00 more than most of the experienced meat cutters that have been there 5+ years.

This can not be done you signed a legal document. I had a similar situation and called they said unfortunately once you sing the documents, its a legal binding contract. Take the situation to your MM or call home office, with no HR most managers are running wild to say the least. If you mention a lawyer she’ll back down.

I know you technically get one credit per job that you've had for one year directly relevant to the position you're applying for

But how can they renig on a signed document that includes pay?
