Our department recently found motion sensors placed under our desks to presumably track how long we are spending in the office and at our desks. Has anyone else found these?

Not fake news. These are used in selected areas. Focused energy efficiency is the advertised purpose. That may be true, but data can be used in more than one way. Use your good senses to figure it out. Badge scanners are intended for security but same data can be used for trending employee comings/goings. Think folks.
If true, post a picture. No evidence = bs

They are used for energy efficiency!
Nice try. Liar-liar-pants-on-fire.
This is true. These motion sensors have been found at the Binney Street offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The motion sensors have recently been placed under desks in random fashion. Not everyone has one.

Buy a $3 lamp with a 50 cent incandescent bulb connected to an $4 outdoor light timer. Put it under your desk and set it to run 18 hours a day.
Guaranteed promotion for under $8.
fake news
Disturbing enough to never consider going back in the office to work.
Just remove the batteries and/or report it to the mainstream media!

Maybe the real concern is that there is too much motion happening under the desks.
Sorry. I should have typed AI (A$$ Identification). My bad!
Next they'll employ AI (A– Identification) to verify that it's really you sitting in the chair!
