If you really want to know if they're going to layoff look on your states Warn warning and see if your company is or not. Hopefully they will give you a noticed like we're suppose to get 60 days. Best of luck to all at UP. From fellow Machinist IAM612
Theres too many people posting about doomsday, closings, layoffs, or whatever the hell you want to call it. When the hell did ANY member of management give advance notice of when cuts or closings were taking place?? I can't think of a single person. Oh wait it must be from the reliable sources. Ladies and gentlemen, get away from this company! It's not worth it anymore. When people who never even worked for the company are starting to ask if you've been affected by the layoffs, then that's probably the best time to walk away. The Union Pacific isn't a good company, and communities are starting to pick up on it. Why wait to be laid off? Leave now and save what's left of your sanity. No job is safe at the UP. That's the UP way!
Naw they’ll probably do it day before thanksgiving to save the holiday pay. Then December 02 unveil a 2nd employee appreciation locomotive
Doomsday started a long time ago when this PSR horsesh-t started with the first carrier. JMO They can’t stand the idea of average guys and gals making the wages they are or were depending on your employment status.
Sure wouldn't be the first time.
Gotta chop heads before that holiday pay expense gets here.
