Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Don’t ask LE about women’s pay at Oracle

https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2019-11-14/dont-ask-larry-ellison-about-womens-pay-at-oracle

"Public pay disclosures would be costly and time-consuming "

"Instead, the board said its existing efforts to promote women in tech, and the fact that four of its 14 directors are women, already puts Oracle at the forefront of gender equality issues, particularly at the top. Chief Executive Officer SC is also one of just a few women to lead an S&P 500 company."

What ridiculous and pathetic arguments. Literally nobody buys this c-ap and it makes them look like total id–ts spouting this nonsense. I can imagine there are far more insidious reasons they don't want to release such information.

Facts starting to be made public not going to help win more govt contracts. Or college recruitment.

  • guga remaining stooges should do walk of Shame! Shame! Shame! for this. Guess using to keep coverup IS worth the time and expense.

They are doing this because if want to sell company, defendant positions in lawsuits are unattractive.

Pay-wise, NO ONE should be working at Oracle. There have been complaints on here about managers having to hire employees making more money than them.

LOL! You'd think the management would get the hint that they are making nothing compared to companies on the outside. But, instead they whine about how much they have to pay competent people to work for them! Duh, people. You are working in a dump.

Apparently stoodge does not want to pay women well for what they do...working for Oracle.

House of Representatives caucuses are also expressing dismay over hiring practices and Board lack of diversity. Uh, guess not PC to mention they are all really old, too.

Pay In general is an issue. No raises in years- people paid all over the place and UNDER salary bands. Tenured Managers making MUCH less than new inexperienced hires, not to mention management meetings on how to tell your employees if they want more pay or a promotion they should consider leaving O..... and let’s not even talk about gender pay inequalities.

In case you forgot the shareholder meeting is tomorrow the 19th. Time for LE to step up to the 21st Century.
Unlikely it will happen. HR is reading this, got it tidied up.
The gap and hiring discrimination issues will just continue to tarnish reputation with customers and prospects. If the $9B Google v Oracle windfall does not happen, look for parsimony in 2020.

3 women on the Supreme Court will vote on whether LE/Oracle gets $9 billion in Google v. Oracle. SCOTUS will hear the Google appeal.
Karma, sweetie.

If 4 of 14 directors being being women is "equality" for LJE, I guess that explains the attitude toward pay.

Well, they have to underpay all the other women so S.C. can make her billions! Simple math

@1215RJ0w-wty On top of this, even if they claim "equal pay for equal work" new employees get payed more than the existing ones for the same jobs since they never give raises. So more reasons to not disclose that info

Yeah, O already has a lot of lawsuits of women and minorities getting payed less than their white male counterparts for the same positions. I guess they don't want any more so they'll keep it a secret...
