I’m hoping that anyone who was dumb enough to not take VSP the first time around gets a second chance. Honestly we need the best of the best around in the future due to reduced staff and people who can make basic financial decisions.

There are a few folks who didn't elect VSP, but will still qualify for CoC. Hopefully that occurs for you. If your job ends up being in Greenway before August 8th, 2020, then you have automatic CoC. You could also always ask your HRBP, to see if you can raise your hand. I know that some people have been successful with that, but it really depends on your department, who you're working with on the Oxy side, etc. Good luck.
Appreciate the sympathy. I'm raising a kid solo, and I was scared to be without a job for any period of time. But now I realize I probably should have taken the risk. It's really impossible to make a good decision when I don't know what future salary, benefits, LOCATION, org structure, company stability etc. etc. etc. will be like. And 90 days in there's STILL absolutely no communication.
I didn't want to be a naysayer and jump ship. Lesson learned.
Too bad you were forced to decide so early and without any real feel as to how the new organization and structure would work. Sincere sympathy, friend.
