The vendors were smart. The problem with Old Sears is Eddie Lampert. The problem with New Sears is Eddie Lampert.
If you don't want to get bitten, don't play with snakes.
They need to be honest with the associates. It’s not a viable job without that sector.
Ya thought there was supposed to be some diehard mowers coming out by now or did they just make that up to make their fake "go forward" plan sound better
Sure, but this was the new vendors who had no relationship with the old Sears. More than one specifically mentioned thelayoff.com
A lot started before that. They were having a really hard time getting product made/sent for 2019, since a lot of the vendors got screwed by Old Sears. They were shooting to be back in the business by 2020, but then a lot of the team got let go in August. So yeah.
The vendors were smart though, since now no ones getting paid again.
Funny enough, the USA Today article pointing out this website was fatal to new Sears' reputation among Chinese vendors. If Sears' management hadn't tried so hard to hide which stores were closing, the media wouldn't have cited thelayoff.com as the starting point of their investigation, and many vendors wouldn't have caught wind of the website
Maybe no vendors willing to play with Eddie.
