Don't trust HR, they send your severance to payroll over a week late, dont pay you for hours that were worked.

Same thing happened to me! They did not comply with their own severence agreement! I have been fighting with them for over a week! Thats if you can get through to HR! Almost a 2 hour wait! They will get sued. I am right there with everyone who sues. They let go most over the age of 40 in my department. They want you to waive any liability to them in the docs. They have you between a rock and a hard place. You have to sign those docs under duress! Because you have to support your family. Right before Christmas as well! SMDH.
Haha. I was laid off, last day was nov 8. Final check on nov 8 as well. First severance payment and bonus was supposed to be paid today per my signed severance paperwork. NOPE. No severance was deposited into my account. Payroll says it’s being processed and will be 1 to 3 business days. Talked to 2 actual higher up HR people, they apologized up and down and said yes it should have been in today. But, nothing they can do, so call them back if the pay is not deposited in 1 to 3 business days. Lol.
I was told since my direct deposit is not into a US Bank bank account that maybe that’s why, I said no, the paperwork clearly states first severance payment would be on the next payday, today 11/29, like normal. Told HR that is not my problem, it’s there’s. Turns out, I’m not the only one with this issue.
I’m hoping they get sued, since they aren’t abiding by their own signed contract.
Remember, HR is only there to make sure the company doesn't get sued by employees, especially those who are in non management roles.
