Young people can't afford expensive vehicles, young families.
I don't understand why companies are doing this and giving the market away.
Buy good used cars I guess.

The market will cycle round and we will have nothing to offer. At least Ford can pull from Europe if necessary. Same with Chrysler. Trucks and SUVs wont last forever. Future geners dont wont big vehicles.

You can always buy a off lease car - like a cadillac still under warranty. That way you are saving the initial hit and more than likely get an almost new car with warranty but not that initial hit. Best of luck hate to see you walk away from the brand.

I'm in the market for a new vehicle, since my company no longer sells cars, only trucks and SUV's, I will be buying a Honda or Toyota car. I don't want to spend 30000 plus on a vehicle.

Indeed, I am also considering non- big 3 as a realistic alternatives for my selection - forever. I never hear about them in the news other than for positive quality, and only hear about our US corporate greed and failures.

Furthermore, as a former GM employee of 20+ years, while I find it ironic they booted me for what became both higher pay, and better benefits and vacation, a VERY lucrative opportunity, I still can't help feeling jaded at the dismissal. GM, whom claims to be professional grade, is anything but.

Something about a call on Saturday, don't come to work Monday, after decades of service, leaves a bad taste in the mouth eternally.

GM, alienating customers for life.
