Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Think the changes are done until after Christmas?

Not hearing anything about changes lately. Do you think they’re done until after the holidays ? Maybe at the start of the new fiscal year.

I think those in the US can rest easy for now. Marvin has his sights on Canada. Tomorrow (Friday December 6 2019) there is a mandatory department manager meeting. The rumors indicate the department manager system we have here, which is what the US had, is changing to the US system of fewer department "supervisors". This is a corporate wide meeting. Even people who are on vacation must attend or "call in" for the company wide conference call. I have a bad feeling that people are going to lose jobs. Here company's have to give 8 week lifestyle change adjustment period if they are changing your position when it is beyond the employee control. New fiscal year starts in 8 weeks. Wish us luck and send hope for those I am sure are about to lose their jobs. Merry Christmas eh!

Marv is the face of The Self-Enrichment Socialist Scum. His phony “May God Bless” in closing. It is very tough to push back when he insulates himself with same-think useless corporate id–ts.

Of course there will be more cuts and changes! Marvin is a desperate egomaniac hiding behind religion to justify his rotten deeds.
After he finishes off Lowe’s he should get into politics. He would be a natural!!!!!!!

your comments just reminded me of this old jfk quote. the more the corporate class destroys the middle class, and greases the palms of politicians to make the economy only work for them...the more this quote, to me, becomes inevitable. eventually the millionaire and billionaire class is going to have to accept that greed and the desire to squeeze a little more profit at the demise of the masses putting food on their table is going to have dire consequences for even them. .....at least it has in every culture for all of time. once the majority of income goes to just paying the basic bills of to exist and the masses live to work and not work to live....bloody revolution/civil war eventually breaks out.

Every QRTR, after the earnings come in, more cuts will be made.
Marvin ONLY overhead is staffing. Its the only place he can cut, and will cut.

Corp sees us employees as an evil necessity. As a burden. As a vice, not as a value. Ive sat in too many meetings and heard it said 1000 times. I always disagree with them, but thats how it is. If it were up to them, Lowe's would ahve 0 employees. Only them , their golden castle, and customers dollars. Magically.

They all live in fairy land and are all incompetent pigs.

I think you all are safe until after the first of the year. Corporate will probably be much to busy with parties and planning February's cuts to do anything now.

This is the new Lowe's, the Lowe's of old no longer exists. If you work at Lowe's ALWAYS have a resume ready. Keep several in your locker. Our last two pro loaders were hired out from under us by pro customers. Must of liked the way they swept out the bed of their trucks and cleaned the windshields.

God Bless!

Isn’t this post a sad demonstration of the state of Lowe’s right now? I may be reading into this a bit but it sounds like this person wants to know if they and their job are safe until after Christmas. It’s just disgusting that we as associates have to be constantly looking over our shoulders and wondering when the corporate id–ts are going to knife us in the back and eliminate our jobs. And that we have to be worried about this in the weeks and months before Christmas is doubly disgusting.

I don’t know if they are done with their changes or not, I’m sorry to say. The changes to our stores and our jobs never seems to end. Who knows anymore how long we’ll be employed by this company since they seem to never value any of our work. Yeah, they say they do, but what they say never matches what they do. I learned a long time ago that what people say doesn’t mean sh*t. What people do, especially when they think you’re not looking, reveals who they really are. And what corporate Lowe’s is doing screams that they don’t give a d amn about us. Will they eliminate jobs just before Christmas? Well, they’d view it as present for themselves if not for us and if history is any indicator, they value themselves over us by far.

Good luck.
