Any idea on the number of layoffs? Are they still transferring Gardner Denver employees from Milwaukee now that that everything is shut down?
Dollars are more important than people. No one takes into consideration who they choose to let go either. By all means, don't let go the people that repeatedly break rules while still under new-hire probationary periods. Let go of the people who have spent years of their lives who cared enough to develop ideas to better the company. Use us up, spit us out into the cold when times get rough. But hey, they made their bed. Hope the fat cat Michael Lamach can sleep well at night on his bed of broken promises and pillow of lies. Typical leadership keeping the blinders on because it's more convenient to not have to think about anyone but themselves. Shameful. I'm sure we'll be hearing more news like this when the inner workings of the company fall apart. They can't even keep the customers satisfied because of production woes. I'm sure laying off the ones who know what they're doing is just the ticket, though. Sure.
It's true. Even though management stated not to worry about the merger and that jobs were safe, turns out that wasn't the case and exactly the kind of thing someone would say to keep you working just long enough for them to use you up and throw you and your life away.
Massive layoffs on 03-04-2020, company wide. More on 03-05-2020
